Special Announcement Fisher Dreamed & Trek Unleashed
FISHER DREAMED, TREK UNLEASHED
Hi, I spent the 8th September to 10th September in Canberra attending the Trek Corporation’s 2010 dealer conference known as Trek World, and what a buzz. Not only for the dealers but for cyclist in general country-wide.
Gary Fisher the man who coined the phrase Mountain Bike and who leads the world in technical advances to MTB was in attendance and having the opportunity to meet him and talk to him was an experience in it’s self. The guy is just in love with bikes.

We hear a lot of people say things like “this is my passion” or “my main passion is this” but you will not meet any one more passionate about what they do and live than Gary Fisher about bicycles. And the passion goes way beyond bikes to every thing and every one who rides or should be riding a bike.

Fisher Collection Super Fly 100 Full Suspension 29er MTB
Now besides seeing all the Trek 2011 model bikes the biggest buzz was hearing how Gary Fisher and the Trek Corporation had strengthened their already solid relationship by bringing the Fisher brand into the Trek range as the Gary Fisher Collection by Trek.
Quite simply this means a range of bikes designed by the most passionate cyclist in the world, built and delivered by the worlds leading cycle manufacturer and along with Trek’s own Grand Tour inspired road bikes, mountain bikes, commuter bikes and kids bikes providing a total range second to none.
So if you think I haven’t come back to Great Southern Bicycle Co all revved up and looking forward to the new season you are mistaken.
2011 Bikes have begun to arrive in store so see you there.

Hi Don
Well, you are a gadabout – Phuket, Canberra. The conference sounds great, glad to see that you got to meet The Great Man himself! Wish the weather in good old Gippland would cheer up so I can get out on that 29er. Looking forward to some warmer weather…
Pat
Hi Pat, Thanks yes it was great to meet Gary and ride some of his bikes at Mt Stromlo where they held the world championships a couple of years back. Was a great venue. Speak soon cheers Don
